Knowledge Service Engine

The Knowledge Service Engine is the AI engine which powers every AI Role Player, AI Advisor, AI Instructor, and AI Commander that Discovery Machine^® creates. By combining more than 25 years of AI research with proprietary techniques, the Knowledge Service Engine offers a best-of-breed approach to cognitive decision-making that is actionable in data-sparse domains. Plus, all AI deployed with the Knowledge Service Engine can talk with other AI entities and human operators via text commands and voice commands, making for a truly immersive experience.

The Knowledge Service Engine can be integrated into any simulation environment to provide cognitive decision-making for AI using the MUSIC^® Specification. The Knowledge Service Engine can even handle sensitive information if required and has been deployed in classified environments.

SpAAR

SpAAR (Spatial Awareness Active Reasoning) provides real-time spatial information to the Knowledge Service Engine. With SpAAR, AI Constructs can request spatial relationships to enhance their cognitive decision-making. For instance, an AI Role Player could query “What is 500 meters west of Mount Shasta?” or “What is behind the blue and white striped house?”, and SpAAR would respond accordingly. SpAAR can track real-time details about unique terrain features, buildings, roadways, intersections, entity positions, and anything else required.

HCR Services

Discovery Machine’s HCR (Human Communication Recognition) Services enable each AI Construct to use natural language, just like humans. HCR services are available to translate written text to speech, determine meaning and the speaker’s intention, and generate phrases based on situational details.

The HCR Services leverage cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) techniques and language models. They can be trained to communicate effectively in any domain. The HCR Services can be deployed on secure local servers or cloud environment based on the training need.

DMI Dashboard

The Discovery Machine, Inc. (DMI) Dashboard is the tailored set of user interfaces for DMI AI Constructs. Each AI Construct may provide unique interface elements in addition to typical user interface elements. It provides views and insights into what each AI Construct is thinking and doing at any moment. DMI Dashboard views can show real-time performance information, emerging trends, and comparisons to ideal conditions. They can even provide real-time smart debriefs immediately after training concludes in after-action reviews.

Custom MUSIC^® Simulations

MUSIC Simulations are packaged immersive training experiences built to comply with the MUSIC Specification. Discovery Machine will develop custom MUSIC simulations for your specific use cases. Each MUSIC simulation Discovery Machine builds is designed to address specific training objectives and can be tailored to fit into any curriculum. MAES²TRO^™ – Coming Soon

MAES²TRO^™ (MUSIC AI Enterprise Support System for Training, Rehearsal, and Operations) is an open framework that enables participating MUSIC simulations and AI Constructs to be deployed to end users in any distributed or stand-alone environment. MAES²TRO offers a set of LVC Services to launch, configure, and monitor your scenarios; LMS Services to integrate with course competencies and learning records; and Authoring Services to streamline scenario creation.
